Facebook Rolling ‘Story Bumping’ Feature, Lets You Discover Your Content In A Better Way

Facebook today announced that it soon to be bringing changes to its News Feed in order to make it real easier for you to read your older stories which you haven’t able to read. The company’s executive at an event at its Menlo Park Campus unveiled “story bumping,” features by which you can see your older stories which you didn’t able to read but are in actually popular in your feed.

The company shared that the new News Feed algorithm responds to signals from you which will includes:

  • How often you interact with the friend, Page, or public figure (like an actor or journalist) who posted
  • The number of likes, shares and comments a post receives from the world at large and from your friends in particular
  • How much you have interacted with this type of post in the past
  • Whether or not you and other people across Facebook are hiding or reporting a given post

The feature Story bumping already made its debut on the web while it is still rolling out on mobile devices.
